The
CVL spreader stoker is an overfeed type
with continuous ash discharge. The stoker is with
hydraulic stoker drive and pneumatic/mechanical fuel distributors.
Fuel is burned in suspension as well as on the forward-traveling
stoker surface.
Stoker sections are constructed with high quality, heavy
duty, heat-resisting cast alloy materials for long life.
Adequate access to all areas and external grease fittings
maintenance is provided. Individual parts, such as grate
sections, can be replaced without major overhaul and without
necessitating purchase of large, more expensive subassemblies.
Fine particles of fuel are rapidly burned in suspension
while coarser, heavier particles are spread evenly on the
grates, forming a thin, fast-burning fuel bed. The
fuel feed and air supply rates conform to variations in
load and are automatically regulated by the combustion control
system. To compensate for variations of the ash content
in the fuel, the grate speed can be adjusted. The ash is
continuously discharged over the front end of the grate
into the ash handling system.
The CVL "GRATE" Hydraulic Drive is a powerful
and efficient self-contained unit in a single housing requiring
no external piping or equipment. It is constructed of heavy-duty
castings and high-strength steel parts,. The capacity of
the flow control valve and hydraulic system are such that
the rotation of the drive shaft can be infinitely adjusted.
The fuel distributor, mounted on the front water wall panel,
has gravity fed chute.
